The CricScout Methodology
1. Format & Cohort Isolation
Formats are analyzed in complete isolation to eliminate role distortion. Every metric is normalized against qualified historical cohorts within the same competition structure.
2. 3-Phase Match Decomposition
Scoring dynamics shift drastically across a match. We decompose every delivery into Powerplay (overs 0–5), Middle overs (6–14), and Death overs (15–19), isolating phase-specific execution.
3. Role-Based Cohorts & Inversion
Comparing an anchor opener to a death finisher is flawed. Players are benchmarked within their positional cohort. Lower-is-better metrics (Economy, Dot %) are inverted so 99 is always elite green.
